GREAT Links

Here are some useful information (recommended by Chung Ping, our guest photographer) for those who missed out on the sharing session. They are basically some guidelines and techniques to help you in photography under certain situations. BUT REMEMBER, guidelines are just guidelines. They are not hard and fast rules that you must follow strictly.

Fireworks Photography and The "Black card Trick"Metering

There are different ways a camera can do its metering. Examples are Matrix, Centre Weight, and Spot metering methods. You can refer to the instruction manual of your camera if you have any doubts on the settings.

Improving your composition

Finally, if you find yourself having difficulty sleeping at night, the following book will be a good read:

"Learning to see creatively" by Peterson, Bryan F

Our guest photographer, Chung Ping, recommends this book to people who are interested in learning more ways to see things. You don't have to buy it because many copies are available in the National Library island wide. You can use the library catalog to search.

Enjoy shooting! Keep Shooting!
